the question is for my recently purchased 93 dodge spirit that i am freshening up.
the auto transmission calls for dex if 3 spd ,+3 if 4 spd or lockup converter.the dipstick says dex.the transmission is a 3spd behind a 4 banger.right now i am about to do a partial change with 3 qts of dex.that will be a 33% change out.
in a few months i plan on doing a filter and fluid change and i was debating on which type of fluid.go with the dex?upgrade to +3 or even+4?or go with a universal synthetic like coastal, which is a suggestion from a local trans shop for an upgrade on 727 trans?the fwd auto transmission is a 727 derivative,so i think it would be an equivalent.
opinions people?
