I am currently using Amsoil Severe gear 75W-90 lube, but I am considering trying Red Lines lube. Has anyone tried both lubes and how do they compare to each other? Amsoil is $13 qt and Redlin is $11 qt. Both are available locally. Does Red Line put more moly in their gear oil like they do their engine oil?

I agree, I havde had great results with 75-140 sever gear in my fords

I went out of my way to buy Motul Gear 300. My second choice would have been Amsoil. How often are you changing out your gear oil? I've got 17k now, want to change out soon, and not touch it again for another 60k+ This is in an 08 WRX STI

I have always used Amsoil gear oils and never had an issue and only superior performance and protection to report. That isn't to say that the RL isn't great stuff but I have experience with Amsoil and it has served me well so I stick with it.

I like Delo all the qualities of the pricy syn oils at the cost of a quality conventional oil. It is worth considering .
