Are Dodge axles the ones that require short OCIs?

Not that I've ever heard. It's a Dana 80 that other manufacturers also use. I've been changing oil every 50-60k in it since I started transporting RV's.

Yes, higher KV@40*C in 110 (140 cSt up) and 140 (175 cSt up) offering far thicker MOFT than a KV@40*C 100 cSt 75W90 would've provided stronger components protection far beyond the 260k miles stated.

So much for FE in low viscosity gear oils in modern gear-train components with modern power-train modules and modern oils.

I don't know if I would blame the 90-weight gear oil. My axle was rebuilt in 2011 at 198k miles with a bearing and seal set. The ring and pinion were not changed. So the ring and pinion set now have 458k miles, and the only indications of problems are driveline vibration above 58 mph, and excessive backlash. The axle assembly is not making any noise, and when I changed the fluid a month ago, there was not an excessive amount of fuzz on the magnet.

But still, it does seem reasonable to go up to 110 viscosity to get higher film thickness.
Redline gear lubes have the following viscosities:
75w90: 16.1 cSt KV100 (Recommended viscosity for my truck)
75w110: 20.9 cSt KV100
75w140: 27.7 cSt KV100

Are you going to get a UOA on the RP?

Ended up doing it Thursday evening.

No, just drain and refill.

Didn’t look all that bad, after further research I felt the Amsoil 75w110 was a better product for roughly the same price as the RP.

I can get RP quite a bit cheaper actually, but I'll still go with the Amsoil 75w-110.

I used AMSOIL's Torque-Drive® Synthetic Automatic Transmission Fluid in my 2014 Camaro 2SS with the 6.2 and Tremec 6sp. Shifting was smooth and it seemed to run a tad cooler on the transmission temp gauge.

In my 2017 GMC 2500 I developed the rear end Clunk on factory fill Delco gear oil at about 10k. Switched over to Amsoil 75w90 and I'm a believer; the Cluck is gone. Sitting at 13.5k miles and everything is running smooth. I honestly didn't think I would get such a good result just by switching gear oils.
