Amsoil Diff oil?

Severe Gear 75W-90
SAE 75W-90 Synthetic Gear Lube
Severe Gear 75W-110

for the 2006 Dodge 2500 with 5.9L...what is the actual differance and which should I choose...I have a Mag-Hytec diff cover coming

Basically you are looking at Severe Gear vs. Long Life gear oils.

You live in Florida. Use this: Amsoil SVT 75W-110

The Severe Gear line has better base oils and better additives. Costs a little more, but I think it's worth it.

Shup1, what intveral have you chose on your diff service? I did mine at 15k, at first and then every 40k. With the warmer weather you have down there I would pick the 75/110 also. The severe gear is worth the money, I also bought the amsoil hand pump as well which made it much easier and cleaner at change time.

I did mine at 2k and nopw have less than 11k on vehicle, I plan on changing on next oil change. With the Mag-Hytec I belive it holds 8 pints so....I will go at least 50k before next change.

I use Severe Gear in all three of my vehicles, that auto parts store nearby stocks allot of it because they tell me many mechanics insist on Amsoil for differential service, for me I have found the best way for differential and transfer case service is to pour it in a suction gun and push it in, very little mess, works great.

That is one thing I like about RP and Valvoline gear oil bottles. They already have a tip that makes filling a rearend a direct process, and the jugs are easily squeezed to put that oil in.

IIRC, Mobil, Castrol, and Motorcraft do the same thing.
