Tp change, just a few hundred miles on a rebuild, 6 quarts of 10w30 Brad Penn #1, don't see the break in particles that the Wix 51515 had before, Wix replaced with an old school Fram HP1, return drains to pan and a needle valve on the inlet, engine oil pressure 45 at idle, 10 in the can, 75 at high rpm, a little over 20 in the can, slowing the flow for better cleaning as Ralph Wood would say. 😊

I've always wanted to try one of those filters on one of my vehicles. I wonder how it would work on my 3.0 Duramax.
They work great . My paper doesnt compress down that far.Paper isnt the same. I normally use Great Value 1000 from Walmart. Frantz and Jackmaster has good elements. I started with Frantz in 1964 with 2ply and Delo 100 W30. My favorites are mostly gone now. Still have the Australian Jackmaster Classic

The paper compressed a 1/2", it was my first roll and I let it have the full monte, 85 psi for a day, the second roll doesn't see more than 60 psi cold, 5-8 psi hot at idle, I throttled it back with the needle valve. :)

I like the gauge. I once put a self tapping hollow bolt in the top of a Frantz and added a Guage. I once put a Frantz on a fender and ran a clear plastic hose to the engine. That backfired on me. People thought if they bought a Frantz it went on the fender.

thank You for all your knowledge and info sir.
Thank you. I have a love affair with these filters. My favorites are about all gone now. Still have the Australian Jackmaster Classic. I see one that looks like a Jackmaster Classic at double the price.

I remember my father telling me our neighbor had one on his fuel oil tanks. Guy was a farmer so had one on his off road diesel and home heating oil tanks. Worked great.
