2011 f 250 transmission started giving problems in first and second banging shuttering. dropped oil pan and didn't find any shrapnel. No burnt smell, and it looked pinkish.135K no transmission service. decided to go with valve body, and when I was removing the old valve body I noticed that the fluid supply feed tube from the body only had 1 bolt instead of 2. could this be my problem? couldn't find bolt.

what made you decide on the valve body?

It's Deleted and tuned. If it's not the valve body then I think probably need a rebuild. If I get a rebuild then I want a new valve body. I thought I would start with the valve body. It wasn't throwing any codes. Then I found the bolt missing. 2nd gear started banging when it was hot. Then eventually it started banging when it was warm, and then first gear started as well.
