Howdy,

Looking for some guidance on what maintenance should be performed on my wife's 2007 Ford Fusion S 2.3L. Yes, her 9-year old car has less than 60k miles.

My list:
-oil and filter, every 5k
-trans fluid replacement, original to car
-brake fluid replacement, original to car
-accessory belt replacement, necessary?
-engine air filter, every 30k

Anything else you guys would recommend?
Coolant was replaced two years ago when I changed the t-stat.
PS fluid?

Sure thing, thanks.

So a quick google shows sil-glyde is a silicon grease. You mean just rub it all over the weatherstripping in a light film as a protectant? Not a bad idea.

Check one of the plugs. Check front end and run electrical scan of battery, starter and alternator. Most of the chains will do it for free.

I was under the impression that the Fusion had electric power steering, I could be mistaken. If it does have hydraulic power steering, just suck the fluid out of the reservoir and replace.

Everything else go ahead and do.

Air filters don't need to be replaced that often unless driving is really dusty conditions. I usually go every 30K.

Battery replaced a year ago but will have it checked along with rest of electrical system.

Definitely hydraulic steering on this model, will suck and replace fluid.

She does not idle the car excessively so I think the air filter is good, she just doesn't drive very much.

No cabin air filter.

Thanks for the help guys!
