5W30 or 10w30 winter oil for a '01 Suburban 1500 ?

This Why would u even bring up dexos reqs for a 2001 gm? If it needed it, it would say in the manual.

This Why would u even bring up dexos reqs for a 2001 gm? If it needed it, it would say in the manual.

Ya I had one of those "brain scrambled" moments lol. IIRC, It would also say on the oil cap if DEXOS was required Dave

Use the 5W-30, return the Lucas garbage to the store...

I'd run 5W30. If the truck burns or leaks oil I'd consider a high mileage 5W30 oil.

It does leak @ 245K miles lol And I already picked up 6 QT's of HM Semi-Syn 5W30. Dave
