Another Good Subie Report. I am more than pleased.

Holy Silicon, Batman! I guess it's still new enough it could just be from assembly materials. Wouldn't hurt to check your air box, though.

I don't like oils with sodium in it, it can mask a coolant leak. Supertech, mobil, and Castrol are the only oils that I have seen with sodium in them.

Same here (but for different reasons)... thats why I like Pennzoil and Havoline. Havoline uses NO NA in its additives.

I always thought sodium to be a cheap detergent additive. But I could be wrong.

It was a problem, the filter housing was not properly engaged. I caught it when I took the sample. Good catch.

I won't use this oil again bc of the Sodium. Its the SuperTech Full Syn.

Actualy this additive package looks decent in fact the best I have seen of SuperTech! I might actualy consider this oil if this is the new additive package since it should easil make it 6 months in my Camry.

Tough to beat this oil for the price.

someone posted UOA for the Outback 2.5l NA, and at 9600miles it was excellent. This is excellent oil, lots of people like myself have been using it for +15 years.

Excellent report. I should have my very first UOA on my 08 Forester in a couple of months, running PP 5w30. I hope it as good as yours

The si didn't seem to hurt anything, no harm done.

What are your driving habits like? Do you drive spiritedly? Auto or 5spd?

Subaru Oil Filter. Theyare very good filters. OEM air Filter. Auto-non-turbo. Its daughters car and she drives very tame. She is a sales representative and drives a lot (mixed driving)

Thought I would post the actual Blackstone report. We don't get a lot of "sampled and not changed reports" The 1800 mile and 9700 mile run are the same oil..sampled and not changed at 1800 miles.

I think this report shows that Blackstone's results are pretty consistent.

Im impressed lately with ST's oils(dino & syn). Not long ago, under the VOA section the ST oils didn't look this nice. They had a weak add pkg. Now, what I've been seeing lately, the add pkg seem to be much better. What I don't know is, which ST oils were tested, EM or WPP.

I agree. Its my daughter's car and she lives 350 miles away. If I don't change it, it doesn't get changed. She will learn a painful lesson some day.
