I like what I see with this change, Detroit 4-53T now has 50,000 miles since I put new rings and bearings in it. Hardly any metal wear, so looks like it's finally broken in.
Sent out an oil sample to BlackStone Labs to see.

Yes, I'm changing the oil every 6,000 miles due to running veg oil. I did send a sample out to BlackStones to see how things are wearing.Looks good, did you change the oil yet? Thank You for great pictures![]()
If there isn't much to catch then why would he run two?A lot less contaminants than previous post for sure. Have you ever thought of running two Frantz's in tandem?
Why run one at all then.If there isn't much to catch then why would he run two?
I have no clue how that applies to your suggestion to run two.Why run one at all then.
I am not suggesting, I am asking A310 if he ever thought about running two, is that alright with you?I have no clue how that applies to your suggestion to run two.
Snarky non-answers to a legitimate question is always a good approach.I am not suggesting, I am asking A310 if he ever thought about running two, is that alright with you?
No, as the oil goes through an Amsoil Dual Guard first then through the Frantz. I have in the past run a MotorGuardM100 and a Puradyn MTS 24 in series and that worked well on my Cummins. Never changed the oil, just the M100 every 3000 miles.A lot less contaminants than previous post for sure. Have you ever thought of running two Frantz's in tandem?
You have two oil bypass filters, I was going to suggest running two oil bypass filtersNo, as the oil goes through an Amsoil Dual Guard first then through the Frantz. For many years Frantz had a 2 3 and 4 stacker. Up to 4 Frantz canisters in a larger canister. What it amounted to is up to 4 Frantzs in parallel. Motor Guard ran 2 3 and 4 in parallel using manifolds.A lot less contaminants than previous post for sure. Have you ever thought of running two Frantz's in tandem?
