Can't say I've ever seen this before, and I'm wondering if the marks are wrong or if there's some quality control issues at the factory. Do you suppose either of these actually has 5 quarts in them? Just picked them up from Walmart, Castrol Edge 5w 40. Seal hasn't been broken on either cap. Anybody seen this before?

That's just not right. Just one more example of hidden inflation.
Just took a look at my two unopened Ravenol jugs. I'd say they actually have MORE than 5 liters in both of them.

They're sitting on my workbench. It's level enough that a can of tire spray doesn't roll off. Here's a shot of an older Castrol 5w 40 from my stash. Grrrrr

I set them aside for the time being and will use my older 5w-40 for this oil change. When it comes time to use them, I will measure them as they get poured in. Might just be flimsy-sided jugs, didn't really think about that.

5qts is 4.7 liters
Edit: I’m dumb, thought it’s 4.7 liters, it’s def not. More like 4.7qts

Hahahaha...

Good catch... I was wondering if I was off there for a minute.

Now back to our regular scheduled programming. :)
