49k miles trans fluid exchange on a GM 10L80

I have more experience with the fords than GM but usually valve body problems arise from fine metal particles that contaminate the fluid and cause the valves to hang up. I can’t imagine it’s much different for GM. Metal can be from the torque converter, P3 planet and steel plates typically.
Exactly what I determined shortly after I bought my Ranger with the 10R80. I started fluid changes early and often. I do a spill and fill every other oil change.
