2004 Chevy Aveo.
5-door hatchback.
Black with grey interior.
Automatic, power windows, air conditioning, cd player, satellite radio(subscription required).
190,000 miles.
Body has mild to moderate hail damage.
This car was used as a courier vehicle from November 2004 until February 2007. It runs well and is an excellent little car for commuting to school or work. To the best of my knowledge, it only has a couple of problems.
1. The speedometer doesn't give an accurate reading. It tends to show a higher speed than what you are traveling.
2. The catalytic converter has a piece of dirt, trash, etc. in it that occasionally causes the "Check Engine" light to come on.
The car passed emissions in November of 2006, so the catalytic converter is apparently okay.
The timing belt was replaced in either December or January.
Kelly Blue Book shows the value of the car in it's current condition to be over $5000.00.
I am asking $4500.00 or best offer.
The car is located at my parent's house in Murfreesboro.
Please e-mail with any questions.

I wish I had the post from Craigslist in NH I saw.

Basically went 2001 Hyundai Accent with 99k and only needs transmission for a meager $5000. The best part was "only inquire if your serious as I am busy planning my wedding".

If that aveo were $1200 it would be a perfect car for an old lady who drives 1000 miles a year. Rust, rubber rot, etc aren't an issue yet.

This is a current ad up my way:

It's very tough to find those without rust, and if taken care of those cars will last forever, so I guess it would have to be from an investment standpoint

I think that this thread actually belongs over in the humor section, but hey, I'm feeling easy today, so I won't move it. . .

It took me quite a while to realize "wont last long" meant he expected it to sell quickly. I thought he was having a moment of honesty and warning buyers that the car was falling apart

In 2004 one of the local Chevy dealers was offering a free 2004 Aveo (new) with the purchase of a new full-size car or pick-up.

This one cracked me up: Link to CraigsList page

"Runs and drives but has radiator leak and is way out of alignment." Never mind that the air bags have been deployed and that the reason it's out of alignment is a TREE that refused to move out of the driver's way!
