422 miles on one tank

How many gallons to fill it after 422 miles?
From what you've posted above, it sounds like fuel economy is actually pretty good.
That Accord does hold 17+ gallons, after all.
Honda gave it that capacity to use.

I liked it at the time, but am now phasing out the heavy oils in favor of 5w30 for winter and 10w30 stuff for summer, like the big amount of NAPA synthetic I got in their February sale.

We have brutal heat at times here, but some BITOG folks convinced me the heavy stuff is not needed. Still, around here a lot of folks swear by the heavy stuff and you see tons
of it in the local stores.

That Mobil 1 15W-50 made the engine run smooth and quiet though.

on my trip to FL from NJ, i got 27 mpg as my highest from my maxima ever. i remember i was cruising at 70mph with cruise control on for the majority of the trip.
around town/highway, i'm getting 21 with it
the sentra is solid at 27mph as of now.

i got 500 miles on my tsx. basically same engine as your accord but more power. fuel up 14 gallons.

my integra once went 425 on < 11 gallons.

honda engines are absolutely amazing!

Wow that is really good. Yeah it's a manual. 2005 with the 2.4. 144,000 miles. If I was doing mostly highway and only driving 70 mph I could maybe go even further.

My sister consistently gets 31-33 mpg in the Camry. She told me she almost drove 500 miles before filling it at empty sometimes. Sometimes I'm amazed at how fuel efficient it is. One time she was upset she got 30 mpg. I told her to stop rubbing it in. I get 27 on a really, really good day in my Max.

I never let my tank get that empty to accurately know how many miles I can go on one tank. I do record my mpg per fill. Here in NW NJ I get 26-28 mpg everyday driving back & forth to & from work 10 miles each way on secondary/local roads . When driving on vacation I'll get in the 34-37 mpg range on the highways. And this is doing 70-80 mph, I want to get there

! The better mpg is when I can use "real" gas without the ethanol when outside of NJ. The car is my 1996 Ford Contour with the 2.0L & 5 sp manual.

505 miles on a tank in my 09 Elantra. 13.2 gallons to fill up a 13.9 gallon tank = 38.3 mpg. I normally average 35-36 each week in my commute of primarily 70% highway.

My trip computer frequently tells me I have a range of 525+ miles available- although I usually fuel close to 1/8-1/4 tank as to keep the fuel pump happy... Most tanks are usually in the 430-450 mile range.

Yeah, my record tanks have been with Alberta gas, where they don't (or at least didn't) require ethanol.
