4 foot LEDs

The flourescent bulbs in my garage are F40CW ... is that just a 4 foot flourescent? Seems to be 4 feet as far as I can tell. Would these work for replacements?

F40CW sounds like a T12 bulb (Phillips 40 watt Cool White).

So yes, T12/T8 LED bulb should work. Depending on the housing and bulbs depend on what you have to rewire (if anything).

All of the ballast-bypass lights I've seen use only the two pins on one end of the tube. The pins on the other end don't get used.

I just bought a Euri brand tube. It can work with or without a ballast. As my fluorescent tubes burn out, I replace them with an LED. So since I have LED tubes mixed with fluorescent tubes in the same fixture, I need tubes that work with a ballast. But once I'm totally converted to LED, I can eliminate the ballasts and have a more reliable and efficient fixture and continue to use the same bulbs.
