Hi, have a 4.3L Vortec V6. Since it’s ~13 years old it looked pretty good except this streak of crusty stuff in a few spots. It’s in a Kohler natural gas 38 kW generator. I’ve had it about a year and it has about 200 hours runtime since new in 2013.
Does anyone know what this brown/tan crust inside the cylinder head might be? It’s in a pretty straight line so it just looked odd to me, although there are some streaks elsewhere.
