Anyone use this 3M product? They tend to make pretty good stuff and the price seems attractive.

The back of the bottle for the Performance Finish seems to indicate that you should hit the car with the above product before moving onto the performance finish. I'm not sure why. I decided to try out the wax first and if I like it go back and get the performance finish.

I have a bottle of hand glaze. Maybe it works well on darker colored cars but I wasn't too impressed with it on my (at the time) silver car. Haven't tried it on my bronze Monte Carlo or my forest green Jeep.

I've used 3M 39006 recently, it was absolutely the worst wax/polish I've ever had to get off (by hand). It worked AWESOME for removing fine scratches, especially with black paint. Next time I would like to try using a buffer to apply and remove.

I use Performance Finish as my pre-carnauba coat after swirl removal with a Porter Cable. Really like it.
After a thorough washing and bug and tar removal session, I only had about an hour of sunlight left so I was only able do the hood, but I hit it with the Cleaner Wax and then the Performance Finish. The Cleaner Wax seemed to work well but I was really impressed with the Performance Finish. Tomorrow I hope to get the whole car done, if I get to it I'll post some pictures of the result.
When I opened the Performance Finish I suspected that it was simply the Hand Glaze repackaged (consistency seemed similar and so did the smell) but a quick check of the ingredients revealed that I was very wrong.
