Maybe he was trying to duplicate that old Castrol add where they drained out all the oil and the engine still ran for 5 minutes?? I think Norhtstar has a feature that if engine gets hotter than a pre-determined temp. it will go to limp mode and fire on every other cyl. to run cooler? Too bad Ford didn't have this "better idea" ?
