Hey, the old Mazda 1.5, as used in the early-'80s GLC, was absolutely great - very reliable, and very easy on fuel.

I probably should have been more specific 1.5L w/turbo. 1.5L without are usually good.

I was just kidding, and paying tribute to an engine I remember fondly.

I figured you meant the new-fangled sort with DI, twin turbo, VVT, and cylinder deactivation, putting out 250 horse per litre. Too much complexity, and too much stress!
