25 Honda Pilot tire recs

Wife’s 25 Pilot Touring is needing new tires at 30k miles. The Michelin Primacy’s that came on it are at 4/32 all the way around and very noisy.

Strongly considering Michelin Defenders as I’ve had great luck with them on our previous Highlander.

Also looking at the Bridgestone Alenza Prestige (new tire as of 09/2025) with the 80k mile warranty.

Anything else I should strongly consider? We live in South Texas so snow/ice is not a concern.

Michelin Defenders on my 17 Camry are very quiet. Absorb small road imperfections well but can be jolting on sharp bumps. I like them. Check with Discount Tire for a pro rated price on new Michelins since the tires are wearing out sooner than warranted. Happy Trails.

I've been researching replacement tires for our 2025 Pilot Elite. We had the Continental DWS06+ on the Audi Q5 and are at the top of the list, except my wife is retiring the end of this year and planning trips to Wisconsin and possibly Canada in January. Living in central Texas, I don't want to put dedicated winter tires on the car, so have started looking at all weather tires vs all season tires.

Michelin has released the CrossClimate 3s in Europe, but won't be in the US until sometime next year. Same with Continental's AllSeasonContact2s. I feel I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place finding a tire with excellent snow/ice grip, but has the capability to handle the Texas heat.

The DWS06+ tires were extremely quiet, very comfortable ride, and gripped like crazy! The Pilot came with Bridgestone Alenzas, but they ride rough, relatively speaking.

I have the new Goodyear Assurance Weather Ready 2's on my wife's Volvo XC60. Can't say enough good about them. Expect winter performance to be as good as the reviews state. We get plenty of heat here in the summer time in Utah-coupled with high elevation twisty mountain roads.

The XL rating plus "grippy tires" rating makes for fun cornering on those mountain roads.

The Cooper SRX proved to be an upgrade …

What is your tire size? Is it 255/55-20?

If you can use summer tires, there's the Vredestein Ultrac Pro. TR also has the Bridgestone Potenza Sport on clearance. If you like Michelin, there's the Pilot Sport 4 SUV, though of course they are expensive.

Otherwise, the Alenza Prestige might be worth trying, especially if they're on sale

I might . They’re comparable to the Defenders which are on the top of my list but I like how the Bridgestones look a bit better - dumb I know. And their price is identical OTD at Discount Tire.

Take the price quote from Discount Tire to the local Ford dealer and they will beat it.

Nope! Having the same name, ratings, and looking the same don't make it the same tire. There are still differences.

I can't blame you. There are some cool-looking tires out there

The Nitto Nomad Grappler looks cool. So does the Motivo 365 (though it's an all-weather tire you don't really need, but Walmart has a good price on it now)

A lot of those AT tires look cool

There's also this Mastertrack Badlands ATX

Have Defender M/S2 on Sequoia now. Exceptional tire! Wet, dry, did some off roading past weekend. You don’t know they are there. No noise, silent.

I probably could wait, honestly. The current tires are at 4/32s all the way around and my wife drives about 2k/monthly.

That’s definitely an idea. Might even be leaning towards the Bridgestones. I feel like I’m betraying my tried and true Defenders though. Haha!

I never had Bridgestone tire that was good all season performer. They always lack a lot there compared to Michelin and Continental.
Check Continental TerrainContact H/T. It has exceptional wet performance.

I called Continental yesterday to get their recommendations on for a tire that would closely fit the description of an all weather, since we travel to Wisconsin regularly in the winter. Their recommendation was the TerrainContact H/T. Said it could easily handle the Texas heat and was second only to their dedicated winter tires for snow and ice performance.
