2025 Lexus TX500h Oil Selection

This is the turbo variant? I would just go with a 30 grade oil.
Once my standard warranty is over, I plan to switch from 0W-20 to 0W-30 or 5W-30 since I live in warm area that doesn't snow.

But OP has extended warranty from Lexus, so deviating from 0W-20 spec'ed for US Market may cause issue down the line if there is engine-related warranty repair.

No one has been able to point to a case of this, to my knowledge.

Extended warranty is governed by a different setup of rules than a warranty; it's considered a service contract. Lexus states receipts are required.

Again I understand all of that. I just have never of anyone getting a warranty denied because they used 5W-30. Can you point to any cases?
I don't have any Toyota/Lexus specific examples, but here's an example of BMW pushing back on warranty coverage for this engine since a LL-01 Castrol 5W-30 syn was used instead of the appropriate LL-04 or LL-17FE approved oil.

That's a different story though. He didn't use an approved oil. I'm more referring to still using an approved oil (API for Toyota) but in a different viscosity.

If it were me, I'm not saying I wouldn't be careful, too. However I'd just go to Walmart and buy any 0W-20 and then immediately return it and keep the receipt. Then buy 5W-30.

That really sucks for the guy in that thread.
