Going forward on my 24 Tundra. I’m going to siphon out dealer bulk oil for AMSOIL Signature Series 0w20. Granted it will be changed every 5K. The dealer will do the 10K per my maintenance plan up to 85K. I’ll do the 5K change. Both times the filter will be changed. After the 85K I’ll do a used oil analysis to see if it could be pushed further.

I would cancel the plan but it gives me documentation for warranty purposes till my 75K warranty is up.

I'd sooner just bring my Amsoil to the dealership and ask them to use it instead of the dealer fill, and then do a 10k OCI and a used oil analysis.

Or go with your plan but use a cheaper oil for the second OCI. 5k on Amsoil is a bit of a waste.

If you're mainly concerned about warranty documentation, just keep receipts for the oil, go buy an oil filter and drain plug washer from the dealership before every oil change for extra documentation if you're worried about it, and change the oil yourself whenever you see fit.

I would stick to 5k.
I personally would switch to their Euro choices.

I would not like changing oil chemistry back and forth every 5k. I know all oils are suppose to be compatible but its hard to say if the additive packs are going to be at odds with each other. I would find out what they are using and use that at 5k oci.s until you can make the change permanent.

I did something a bit similar with my BMW. I changed the oil half way through BMW's recommended intervals and OLM changes. But I didn't change the filter and used an oil comparable to what the dealer used.

No point in switching chemistries all over the place and the filter is surely good enough for the manufacturer's full recommended interval.

Im have reading comprehension issues I guess as I don't understand the "syphon out" bulk oil?
If you purchased a plan from the dealer for every 10K with his bulk oil and want to use Amsoil every 5K why not just take your oil to the dealer and have him change it using your fluids every 5K, Your prepaid labor labor pays for one oil change at 10K and why not you just pay out of pocket and have him do the every oil 5K change with Amsoil? If he is not using is bulk perhaps he may will credit you that bulk oil price back to you... All you can do is ask?
The parts department may be cool and stock Amsoil for you IF you ask? My Harley dealer stocks Harley, Amsoil and Bel-Ray...

so you're only putting 5,000 miles on the Amsoil? not calling you nuts.. but why waste money.. are you also using the oem filter to keep the toyota warlocks happy?

Your reasoning make no sense to me. You could always keep documents showing that you performed required maintenance to satisfy warranty requirements.

Completely agree switching back and forth from Amsoil to the dealer's bulk oil is not a good idea. used oil analysis after switching from the OEM Honda oil to AMSOIL Signature Series when the vehicle had 500 miles showed there was still factory oil which had mixed with the Amsoil (higher level of Molybdenum than Amsoil's VOA). My closest Honda dealer used Pennzoil Platinum (not PUP) as their bulk oil, so I'm doing all my own oil and filter changes and keeping receipts for their purchases as well as documenting in Honda's My Garage, where dealers and owners can show all service performed on your vehicle.
