CARQUEST premium Hands down

Don't even think of running the Nissan filter. If it's made by Gonher Mexico so will be your engine.
Return it.

And wait till 1200- 1500 miles to do your first OC.
My local walmart has started selling the OEM Nissan filters, and since Mobil 1 filter quality has declined, I've been buying and using the Nissan filters on the Wife's Armada...what is the problem with the Nissan filter?

Just trying to get people‘s opinion.

In the past it's been shown to have adbv failure by a couple well respected guys on here. Is this a Grupo Gonher Mexico unit?

Nissan doesn't make filters. They outsource them to other manufacturers. Was China then Mexico.

Have they gone back to Japan or Vietnam? Those may be OK.

CoO should be printed on your filter

I have another car that needs OC so I figured I’d do everything at once

@TBoss1 who made your Nissan Filter? Take her out of the box and see what is printed on the can.

Filters have become a real "can of worms" over the past decade. That Blue one in the middle should do O.K. if the efficiency isn't too high.
Being in Atlanta and running 0W20 should help.

Nothing . I had my oil changed at the Nissan Dealer while under warranty . Every 5k for 50,000 miles . Over 65,000 now and it hasn't exploded yet .

Look down the center tube for anything wrong, holes, louvers, glue. 100% for me the Nissan filter. If you can show a pic of base plate? Nice that it has the dust cover.

They are made in mexico, Gohner. There are no visual defects to the two I have on hand but I'll keep an eye out for the above.
