I wouldn't push todays engine oil change intervals.Whichever is cheaper... Your Toyota won't care in the slightest.
Now, if you're going beyond 10k miles their would be an argument for Fram TG.
There is an argument for different segments (OTR w/big sumps) but in a Corolla w/a little sump capacity just getting new oil in there is not a big deal or price barrier.I wouldn't push todays engine oil change intervals.
Best way to avoid an oil filter failure is to not run one at all, since "nothing else matters" wrt oil filters. The only really important thing about an oil filter is that the filter doesn't fail all the rest is not an issue.
My '68 Corvette Roadster 427 is worth a lotta money. If it keeps appreciating, someday it might be close to what I have in it.It’s a depreciating asset at best and a financial liability at worst. I want them to last awhile but don’t want to spend on them unnecessarily. OEM equipment and specified fluids can certainly achieve that harmony in most situations.
That is an exception not the rule.My '68 Corvette Roadster 427 is worth a lotta money. If it keeps appreciating, someday it might be close to what I have in it.
How long? Bring a lunch, as they say...
It was a joke. This car is the most expensive I have ever owned. And I don't even drive it. It is up in Gig Harbor, WA at my BIL's place. He has the room and did some finishing work. I gave him the new rag top and interior pieces. He loves it, so that's good. That is an exception not the rule.
I meant that is the type of vehicle you’d want to put money into it because it’s a passion project. It was a joke. This car is the most expensive I have ever owned. And I don't even drive it.
