Oversize filter for a TG3600

Wife has a 08 mercury sable........anyone know a overisze filter for a fram toughguard 3600???????

That crosses to a WIX 51516. I would think you could go up to a 51515 which is the same as Fram PH8 as long as there is clearance.

You can use a PH8A as long as you have clearance. They are very similar internally and both have relief valves and adbv, so you should be ok.

PH3614 is the short version.
PH3600 is a long 3614.
PH16 is a short/fat version.
PH8 is a long and fat.
If you have room, the FL1A/PH8A is your winner here. The WalMart Supertech ST8 is a slightly shorter version of the FL1A if height is a limiting factor, and is actually a really good filter in that size range. This my choice for anything that runs a 3600/16/43 size if there is room. I've run them on Ford Rangers, Jeep GC, a Focus, a Contour, and Dodge truck. Good luck.

Sorry Gary, I know you expected to see my numbers but this guy sounds like he's set on using those nuclear orange filters on his Sable, but everyone knows Supertech (ST8A really good filter) is the best filter available at Walmart.
