FYI, the UOA says that the CX'-50's sump = 5 qt.

it's actually 5.75 qt

if you ever DIY drain the sump on a ramp, you probably will pull out a bit more oil than what the reference sources say (4.75 qt) .

The 2.5 Skyactiv engine in our 2021 CX-30 lists 4.8 quarts as the oil capacity. Did Mazda make the sump larger for the CX-50? FWIW I usually put 5 quarts or even 5.25 quarts if running the longer 7317 sized oil filter because the 4.8 quart recommendation leaves the oil only half way between 'Add' and 'Full' on the dipstick.

I think the 5.75 quarts is referring to the dry engine oil capacity. I put 5qt in my CX-50 and it put the oil level a little above the half way point on the dipstick.

My daughter just got a 2024 CX-50 and I just changed the oil. It took 5.5 quarts to get it to the full dot.
