Looking to buy one soon.
Local dealer is around $2k under MSRP.
Anyone else looking to buy soon?
Had four Fords and looking for a change.

Most dealers are at least MSRP or any where from $2,500.00 to $5,000.00 (or more) over MSRP. It's a nice truck with a very "in your face grill". However, there s absolutely nothing ground breaking with this truck. You can find the same specs, payload, towing capacity, etc., over at Ford, GM or RAM.

You will be one of the very few "conquest sales".

Agreed but had a bunch of Fords and come from a long entrenched GM family and don't like my local RAM dealers much or the predatory Hemi crowd...lol

true and true.

Also true - Capacity #'s dont fully convey the differences under load.

The turbo trucks simply destroy the NA trucks at altitude and in heat while being able to pass uphill at will.
They are also quiet doing it.

The only 1/2 ton that can match this yota in the real world is the 3.5 ecoboost

Are you getting the 6.5' bed or will the 5.5' work out better for you?
I would be open to both but the 5.5' would suffice. Good ?
Doing more towing than anything and nothing taxing to the truck.

I would definitely try to get a 6.5' bed if you can. One thing a car salesman told me once is that woman are more picky when it comes to the color and options on a new vehicle while guys aren't as picky because they want what is on the lot today. The 6.5' bed will make the truck easier to sale for a better price down the road because most Tundras will be the 5.5' bed.

6.5's are problematic for many residential garages.

I always purchased 8' bed domestic
crew cabs and my last Ford was that but a standard cab. No more standard cabs. The 6.5' are in stock at the same dealer...same discount too.

Agreed. However, many people don't park in their own garage as evidenced by driving anywhere USA.
That's true-if you want your $50,000.00 plus asset siting outside in the snow-instead of inside over an extra foot of utility. I guess it may depend on where one lives.

I have so many garages but they house machinery so my vehicles sit outside but they always age well and I get top prices when I sell.
It is a royal pain in the winter though..I will give you that.
