2022 Tundra Crew Max

Yes but only when you look at her !!;) It wil grow on you like a....wart!
Kidding aside she'll probably a stalwart like her predecessor.
If it is mechanically slick, ugly I can live with. Some of those early 80 imports weren't so beautiful either but the utility they provided made you not care.

Did z9 buy the Tundra?

Turn down the turn signal noise. Must be a setting there.
No it just didn't seem like a good value to me and I think it is overpriced but many may see the value in it.
I left the dealership with more admiration for the Fords I have had over the last decade. I was open minded but just not as impressed as I thought I would be.

I hear the hybrid will be out in the spring on the lots and I may look at them but I hear that mpg was not a factor in the development for which if true would be a negative to me.

OK-the question remains how much that affects the interior of the car? And does it matter. If it's 100 degrees outside with both black and white vehicles exposed to the sun with the windows closed-they will both be too hot inside. If the darker vehicle has indeed a hotter interior-how much longer does the air conditioner blow "at max" and does it matter? We are assuming both vehicles have the same color interior for my scenario.

Here one test that answers both interior and exterior questions

SR...base model

Detuned less power but more mpg.
Less towing capability but more payload...

4wd is a $3k option on SR.

Exactly what I was thinking of !!!
But in fairness (I own a Lexus RX350) you only see the front when not driving, I got used to it.
My wife drives an RX 350 which I drove all day into Boston to go to the Bruins game. It's definitely not a looker and I had forgotten how well it drives - perfect for highway driving and in downtown Boston. I averaged 22mpg today which is a win compared to the Tundra not to mention the garage we parked in had a 6' high vehicle height limitation that would've decapitated the Tundra.

By the exclusion of tow hooks on the Tundra was that an oversight or a way to eliminate potential abuse?

It's the Japanese that still don't totally understand the market for trucks and body on frame SUVs.

Yea-and you got to lift the body off the frame to access the turbos that are behind the engine-just in front of the firewall to fix the issue.

They do that on some Ford’s as well for certain repairs. Easier than pulling the motor.

Yea-I think the Super Dutys they have to do pull off the cab. The thing is on the 2022 Tundra one guy who has a Youtube channel said right now he has a $60,000.00 brick-as his turbo failure happened at 300 miles. He stated that since it will be out of service for at least 30 days (probably longer) under his state laws he probably going to do a "lemon law" situation and get a new truck.
