Vehicle was towed back to us. Fuel filter in engine bay leaking. Was just at dealer for recall and they changed fuel filter. Old o ring was split.

Used a MO-291 fuel filter and new o ring. No leaks this time. Thanks Chrysler dealer!!🤬🤬🤬

Only time I see those rings split is when someone tries to reuse it. Something about the mopar ones they swell up and will not work to be reused if one wanted to try

Old wise tech taught me years ago; always use new O rings no matter what cause if you fubar it up you own it. Self explanatory

There’s a reason the new filter comes with a new o-ring. I’ve changed several of these on my 2012 and never had an issue. I always use the new o-ring though.

Just my $0.02
