2022 Ducati Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak, Motul 7100 4T 15W-50, 1,747 miles OCI, 9,290 total miles. Owned this bike since new in April 2022. 1st DIY oil & filter change, as all others have been part of the Annual Service dictated by the service light in August. Going forward - with such high annual service costs at the dealer, I purchased an OBDSTAR Diag. Tool to reset both the Oil Service and Annual Service minders myself.

Note: Ducati has set a 9k mi interval for oil service. Since I put on an average of 3k miles/yr., I'll likely stick to changing the oil & filter on an annual basis.

Blackstone notes: This report looks good. The viscosity is a touch low for 15W/50, and that's okay. The high flashpoint rules out excess fuel dilution as the culprit, and the slightly low viscosity didn't seem to affect wear. Wear metals look good compared to universal averages for this type of Ducati engine, which are based on ~1,400-mile intervals. No contamination from coolant, dirt, or water is present. Insolubles indicategood oil filtration at 0.2%. Nice results.

Refilled the crankcase with 4.4 qts of Moterex Top Speed 4T 15W-50 oil.

Blackstone's been sniffing too much esters.
12.87cst is barely even a 40, much less a 50. And after only 1700 miles; curious to see how much further it would have sheared.

No way I'd run the recommended 9K mile oil change interval if that were my bike. Fresh oil's cheap insurance.

Awesome bike, BTW.
