Just picked up the vehicle named in the title.

I am going to start doing more heavy pulling than either of my previous half-tons could handle, so I sold them off in the recent truck frenzy. This one was available over in Fargo, so I went over today to check it out.

Yes, there are a few missing luxuries from my Big Horn and even the 2015 Tradesman, but it’s negated by the heavy duty towing capacity this one has.

I made a good deal for me, and I got the color (not fleet truck white!) and Apple CarPlay.

Now the heavy work can begin… 😤

Very nice. Put this bad boy to work, and report back on how you like it. For me, there is no compared over a half ton. I suspect you will feel the same.

I had to hold off on some projects here at the property because the 3/4 ton Suburban my brother has is down with a rusted brake line (big surprise. 🙄).

I’m looking forward to putting this big hoss to work this next week or so…

My 1500s were very nice trucks, but nice isn’t enough for a 10,000 lb. load. 😁

You will definitely be sacrificing some ride and some mileage for capacity. A worthy trade, if you use it. Sounds like you will be...

Very nice. The dealer I purchased my Ram from has 20+ Tradesman 6.4’s with MSRP’s between 46-50k. Not sure what they are actually selling for though.

I looked up the towing capacity for 2500 6.4 CC and it showed a payload rating of 3100 lbs and a 17k towing capacity...which is a huge upgrade over the 1500. I am curious what your average fuel economy will be.

That is one sweet looking truck. And it sounds like you sold the used ones at just the right time. Congratulations!

Judging by the rear window, your truck has the Level 2 tradesman package. Did yours also have the 4.10 axle ratio?

Nice pickup!

I bought a 2020 model Tradesman in December.

Love it!

For fuel mileage, I get the exact same as the 1/2 ton it replaced (98 f150 4.6)

Yes it does..

it also has the tiny wheels, which I’m looking at replacing with 18” wheels and tires. It is going to be a worker, so nothing too slick and fancy.

I didn’t show the interior, but it has the standard grey cloth, basic instruments, but this North Dakota dealership outfits their work trucks with the uprated 8.4” screen with Apple CarPlay and the Android equivalent. This was key for me being an Apple user, since that beat out other dealers who left their Tradesman work trucks basic across the board at this price.

I got it for $44k. I guess they had it longer because business buyers they work with prefer white for putting on their business livery, logos, etc. I can see that.. fortunately for me. 😎

I like that color too. 👍

In fact, I would have taken mine in almost any dark color.

This dealer is huge in the Fargo area - I usually get my vehicles either through my own purchases via private party, or new at a Minneapolis St. Paul dealer. First time buying new out of state.

But, they have a few more Tradesman trucks coming in with different colors, like an Olive Green with the black grill, a dark maroon, and one I would have taken if it were there already: Patriot Blue with the chrome package. But they’re not in stock, only “in transit”. Which probably means these particular trucks are caught in limbo due to the chip shortage. 😐
