Has anyone replaced the pads that go on the 360 x 30 front and 330 x 20 rear rotors on the JCW? My 2019 pads had two stick-on centering pieces to be placed on the back of each pad. I ordered OEM pads to make sure I have the correct size and these have no stick-on centering pieces like my 2019 had. What I'm trying to find out is if the newer pads simply don't require them any more. I know I can figure it out once I'm in there, but would prefer to know beforehand. Thanks! (Can't get over how big these brakes are...the front 360 x 30's weight 28 lbs each...that's a lot of mass to act as a heat-sink!)

The little nubbin on the backside of the left hand pad?

No idea why it would be there. The pads are held in by the upper pins. Probably not strictly necessary since the aftermarket pads don't have them. I'm going with noise. Probably keeps them from vibrating and making noise.

Thanks ctechbob. Yep, that's the stick-on nubs I referred to that are on the pads (as well as replacement pads) on the 2019 type brakes such as in your YouTube video. Perhaps you're right and these are superfluous. My 2020 JCW brakes are MUCH "taller" and not-so-thick as the ones in your video. I've yet to find a YouTube with the big brakes like on the 2020 JCW. Appreciate the help...
