2019 Subaru - 439k miles... Nothing but 0w20

It is like my Nissan Altima VQ which saw highway cruising 50-79 mph a whole whole lot.... That was done 95 percent of my 325,000 miles I drove it.

Tremendously helpful to the CVT too which is due to much lower operation temps seen in it's time running.
Yep, straight highway miles, no traffic for hours on end is great for an engine and transmission. Drive those same hours in NYC traffic where a ten mile ride can easily take an hour, or more and compare the results. I'm guessing it might have taken five to ten times or more in the car to hit the same amount of miles. Oh and the suspension and other components would have taken a beating as well from lousy roads. ;)

If that is the 4 cyl. boxer engine, I wonder how many head gaskets ? If none then I am impressed.
The notorious head gasket issues were changed with a slight redesign of the 4 cylinder Subaru boxer engines about ten years ago. For the most part hasn't been and issue since then.

What is impressive is something like 300 miles a day driven every single day of the year on average over the 4 year period since the 2019 models hit the display floor.

Something to consider, 439k miles at 30mpg is is 14633.333 gallons of fuel used.
At a probably low $3/gallon, that's just under $44k in gas alone.
Of course, if reimbursed at the the last year rate of $0.585/mile for 90% of that (the person had to do some personal driving, right?) That's just over $231k in reimbursable miles at the IRS rate.
Let's take the 300 miles / day and assume that's work related. That's $175/day in reimbursement or $877 for a five day work week. Over $1227 for a 7 day week.

The figures are staggering.
It would sure be interesting to see the actual costs for this vehicle's lifespan.
