2017 Super Tech Gear Oil

My BMW bikes take a 75w140 in the gear box and 75w90 in the final drive.

I change it out and only run it for 10,000 miles.

What's the verdict on today's synthetic Super Tech Gear Oil? I have read old posts that aren't very flattering, but I have to wonder if the newest stuff carries the most modern requirements and is probably pretty darn good.

Does anyone know anything about it?

I've written about using 75W90 SuperTech Semi-Synthetic gear oil in a WRX I once owned several times in the past.
I used it in the five speed manual transmission. I used it from the first fluid change until I sold the car with 136K on it.
The fluid when I used it stated not for fill of limited slip differentials. That is a good thing for a manual transmission
which uses synchronizers. The five speed manual in the WRX is known to be fragile and I did a stage 2 tune, doing a 13.6 1/4 mile using that fluid
without an issue.

I will add that I used 75W90 Valvoline Synpower in the rear diff because I didn't know if it had a clutch type limited slip or not.

I ha e used Supertech 75W-140 in the gearbox of my R1200R BMW for 20,000 miles (2 intervals) and it is working great so far.

I just loaded 2 quarts of Super Tech 75w90 into my Toyotas transmission today in fact and its excellent. You really cant go wrong with any Super Tech product as they are merely already existing products on the market that is repackaged. I trust Super Tech in all of my vehicles and I use their products in my motorcycles as well.

I do wish their 75w90 was full synthetic, rather than semi-syn........

I probably won't use their semi-syn in the final drive. I only add 185ml and I think I need the best of the best in there and 75w90 isn't the expensive stuff.... 75w140 is the liquid gold...over $20 a quart in Mobil 1 and Royal Purple, etc...

Yeah, I think I am going to go with SuperTech in the transmission and Mobil 1 in the final drive.


By the way, does anyone know who blends the Super Tech gear oil?

the bottle of 75w-90 that I got said that it was bottled by citgo.
