My goodness, this car is so gorgeous and aggressive. I am not the kind to drool over supercars, infact, i never do but this one has me googling it a couple times a day! Acura nailed it and in my opinion, it is one of the best looking super cars out there. With honda's legendary suspension engineering, I'm sure this car will impress and run circles on the track against higher output supercars.

Some quick info for those who don't know much about it:
- 550HP from 3 electric motors and a twin turbo v6
- $150k starting price tag
- Pre-order starts this summer. Launches in q3/q4 of this year

What do you guys think?

I don't like the front styling, it looks like a smiling fish. If the front is totally black then it may be okay.

The wheels and tires are too aggressive, is it 22-23" wheels with 25-30 aspect ratio tires ?

It looks pretty good. Only thing I don't like is the trademark Acura bird beak / buck teeth grille. At least on this, it doesn't look too bad. The rest of the car looks good.

I've never been much of a fan of hybrid super cars either. Is the purpose to go fast or to save gas? A gas only version I would think would be lighter and cheaper than a hybrid version and you could make it just as fast or faster. But I guess we have mileage requirements so we have to have hybrid super cars like this and the i8.

Will they offer this with a regular manual transmission?

They likely can't. May be since there are separate drivetrains there's no way to control them if one is manually operated by a random input.

But these days automatics rule.

I was just previewing a beautiful new Alfa 4C, an incredible little car. But six speed paddle shifted gearbox only, no third pedal!

Otherwise one of the coolest 4 bangers I have ever seen, pretty much a track car with a little leather added!

Would somebody please tell Acura the chrome beak is not a good look and hasn't been for many years. They are a bunch numb skulls when it comes to styling. This car looks good, but I'd invest in a $1 can of flat black spray paint and fix that chrome monstrosity.

Agreed

Not as much of a game changer as version 1.0.

IMHO it should still be a Honda, they should have some pride. Acura is just a brand, its not a car company.

A video of the Detroit auto show shows people walking by the largely deserted NSX to get to the Ford GT display which was jammed with people. Bad timing for the NSX.

I agree, it's a Honda.

But in mid 80's when they had the first Legend, they launch a new division because at that time the Accord was $11-12, Civic was $8-9k and they priced Legend at more than $20k, they think that their normal customers will not but it. Few years later Toyota and Nissan launched Lexus and Infinity divisions.

Probably they copied American dealership networks. GM has Cadillac, For has Lincoln ...

I had a 2 mile ride in a twin-turboed gen 1 NSX . I don't remember anything about its appearance, but it was very fast and handled amazingly.
