2015 Ram 1500 5.7L Hemi, Red Line 0W-20, 19,000 miles

It behave like ‘old Amsoil’ did - good protection, but thickens significantly out of grade. Amsoil TSO 0W-30 was famous for this.
That is so true I run the Amsoil TSO0W 30 in my 2004 Honda Accord that had a bypass oil filter oil guard and I ran it for like 18,500 miles and it protected well but it definitely thickened out of or close to forty weight.

How you know this? 🧐🤨😒
Relating individual experience of doing a few oil analysis on the Amsoil 0W30 TSO and it protected well. But viscosity was higher than the reported starting viscosity on Amsoil’s website-which if memory serves me was like 10.1 and used oil analysis was notably higher.. I understand your potential point that am generalizing from my small sample size aka individual experience… but that is what most people share regarding oils.. their individual subjective experiences and used oil analysis.
This was post made regarding the oil with the raised viscosity which all were above 12…
