On there quite regularly. A few guys that know their stuff, but overall surprising little mechanical aptitude. Factory is god so to speak.

I have some Amsoil on the shelf I may try. Just topped of 2.2L will see how that works.

After the top up, I think things are smooth enough to leave as is.

I have used Honda MTF (in its various iterations), Amsoil MTF, Redline MTF and GM Synchromesh in various Honda transmissions.

Honda MTF is good for only a few thousand miles before it becomes notchy again.

Amsoil MTF is good when temps are reasonable but poor cold weather performance.

Redline MTF: average warm weather shifting, not great in cold.

GM Synchromesh: by far the best I've used of them all. Great shifting above freezing, and the best cold weather shifting too.

I think you can add Pentosin to your list but it is pricey. If I had added more to the GM I think I would still be running it. Why is the life so short on some of these fluids? A problem here that many rubber product (belts and ps hoses) and fluids is cold weather performance ie staying together, manufacturers in mexico and china have no idea- I suppose the market is so small too.
