2014 Maserati Quattroporte opinions?

It is a used, high end European semi-exotic on Craigslist for a used Chevy price.... Parts will be dear, service will be also, $$ if you go to a dealer, it will be needy and you know all that. If you don't, walk away, seriously.

I only know one person who had one and it was OK, for what it is. Some niggling issues, dealer service was adequate, but they didn't have it that long.

Mileage? Condition? I'd want a stack of maintenance records as high as the sidewall:)

I'm not one to be afraid of a needy toy if it is what I really want, so if you really want an older Maserati Quattroporte and you can live with the inevitable experience (and you know enough about them to be comfortable with what you are getting into), and there are no red flags with the individual car, then have at it.

Check the marque boards and GET A PPI by someone that knows what they are looking at!

Good luck!

Looks good but couldn't you find a nice car for $10k that's more easily repairable/maintainable? Who repairs something like this? I just don't know anything about them 😕?

Run Forest, run!
There is one of these sitting at a little used car lot in Hamilton. Have had no reason to stop and look at it.
Eight plus year old Maseratis are surprisingly cheap.
There is a reason for this.
Do a little searching and remember that if you actually want one it will be to your advantage to pay more to buy one with good service records, especially if you actually want to use the car.

it's funny because a 2014 Toyota Corolla is worth in some case almost twice as much. pretty much all luxury cars have abysmal resale value. they are good only if you are very rich and can afford to lose tons of money on depreciation. if you have money to burn, they are good cars.

It's a good looking car. Looks well maintained but it wasn't garage kept. No info about the mileage. Keep it for several years and then sell it as vintage. You'll make money.

Parts availability is the biggest obstacle of owning one it appears. I looked at the first 2 minutes of a video of the YouTuber @BMWTurboDzl pointed out.

It reminds me when I owned an Italian motorcycle, a Aprilia Shiver 750. The bike was broke down under warranty at the dealer during peak riding season with zero parts available to fix it.

Poster of the ad must be a moron or a scammer. 4 word description for a $10,000 car? I've seen $10 toasters with more details. And that he tries to disguise his phone number makes it look like a scammer. No mention of the miles? Probably 150K for that price.
In his defense, lots of people do that to get around responding through CL.

This is an odd ad - there are no side panel details. At all. 🤔

All Craigslist ads for cars list something over on the right. But nothing here. Almost like it’s a fake ad.

If you’re in the market, spend more and avoid “Chris” and his weird ad. Something about this one seems fake.

It wasn’t said about Maserati, but it applies equally well: the cheapest Maserati you can buy will be the most expensive one you get! 🫣

Paraphrasing of course.

Those people are known as scammers.
No. It common to call someone directly on CL. Of course scammers are around but that does not mean someone who posts a number IS a scammer. BTW I am not seeking opinions about CL. I clearly said opinions on the Maserati. Lets stick to that please.
