Or not? Quality materials are used and its put together very well. Not sure what is terrible about it, unless you dont like the split level dash.

Nice car overall; a bit more power would be nice. The handling and shift quality is above average. No slushbox available, so it has that going for it.

I like the increase of torque compared to other Civics, but it's nothing special in the sport compact market.

It also would be nice if Honda didn't force Si buyers to take a hole in the roof as standard equipment...

The MIL has a 2013 Civic LX. It's a pretty well-sorted car. I'm not a fan of some of the interior bits and bobs, but that's me. Nice car to spend some seat time in, even though it is a bit louder inside than other compacts. I'd imagine that a Civic Si would be similar, except for the larger engine and improved dynamics.

They are very reliable and hold their value. I think I'd rather have a Fiesta ST for the money though.

It's a good car, but I personally prefer the 06-11 generation. The engine in 2012+ is full of torque, which is just so uncharacteristic of anything with Si on it.

Me too- if I decided to ever go FWD again...

We're talking apples and bananas the fiesta has a turbocharged 1.6 and the civic Si has a naturally aspirated 2.4, don't get me wrong i like the fiesta st its just to small for me, im a big guy. I love turbocharged engines i wish the focus st or the wrx was cheaper. I like the SI because of the powertrain the shifter is like a rifle bolt, the engine screams to 7000 RPM.

Had a Mazda 3 sport, never again. My 2013 Civic Si has no need to go back to the dealer, everything works, provides a grin on my face, may not be the fastest but most fun and lowest cost of ownership!

What kind of MPG'S does the SI return you?

Very good car IMO. Honda says you can't deal, but if you shop around you can find something for the SI. Well built, fun to drive, great refresh on the exterior and interior. I was very impressed with the build quality and materials used inside the car. Good power for a fun little compact and a really great shifter. It doesn't have driving dynamics as something such as a Focus or Fiesta ST or even a GTI, but I really like them. The resale value is so good too that I would consider it on that alone.

My girlfriend had one for a while:

anybody in the market for Si should also visit local Acura dealer; those ILX stay on the lot for a l o n g time and you might be able to get it for a song

The ILX is the same car accept for the interior and the electronic packages offered.

proves my point that they are almost identical except for few luxury components and the civic has more performance capability.
