Some of you know I continue to fix up a Civic for my grand niece who is in th Marine Corps currently deployed to Kuwait.
I am finishing up installing an Apple Car Play JVC radio with back up camers, steering wheel control, etc.
I will drive Tatiana's car back to Camp Pendleton when returns.
The dang alarm goes off at noght when a car goes by; the Civic is deep in the driveway at the side of our house!

A little research suggests the hood latch has a switch that may go bad. Can I just disconnect it?
Any other ideas?
I appreciate your thoughts. My neighbors thank you in advance.

Yes, very common, yes, if you disconnect it, it will stop triggering the alarm.
