2013 Charger 5.7L; problems after sitting for years

Hah! I am allergic to dogs. The car cleaned up really well inside and out. I will attempt to straighten the small dents you see on the front fender before attempting to paint the fender I bought from LKQ.

I painted the driver's side fender I got from LKQ to replace the dented one. That paint job is curing and waiting to be installed; pics of the replacement fender will be posted soon.

I will have the front bumper cover off to replace the fender and headlight assembly anyway so swapping out the radiator at the same time is a no brainer.

How many smiles are on it?

Seems like at this point it just needs to be run. Fresh gas with your favorite brand of fuel system cleaner (Techron, Redline, Gumout, etc) in a couple consecutive tanks, and some nice long highway drives where you can just let it hum along and “let it cook”.

Solid motor mounts and a big cam will make it more fun. You won't worry about all the little stuff.

You'd have problems with body parts (yours and the car) breaking off while waiting at stoplights.
I know from experience 🤣. When I was younger I put a 400HP Chevy motor in a Ford ranger and used solid mounts. I got a lot of looks at stop lights. That truck shook a lot when the cam hit.

That truck must have been like driving on greased banana peels, and I could totally see why someone would want to put a bigger engine in one after having driven one with the gutless 3.0.

I can't remember what year truck it was (80 something) but it came with the 50HP four cylinder. I didn't even have it paid off when a hole burned through a piston top. After getting it towed I decided to make a few mods. Besides the engine and transmission I added Jeep bucket seats, sun roof and crager keystone classic wheels, 15x9 front 15x12 back. My brother and I even cut and welded a custom length drive shaft for it, never did get it balanced. The first day I took it home it was raining and I couldn't even hardly take off on the wet roads. I miss those days of being young and wasting money.

Yeah, my son wants to 302-swap his, but I'm quite happy that he has like 147HP.
It's a lot of work stuffing a V8 down in a little truck but it's lots of fun for the young guys. Plenty of S10's out there running corvette motors. I even saw one with an electric motor tied directly to a regular transmission through an adapter plate.

Yup! My buddy's dad had an S10 that we swapped a couple different 350's into, and then a few different transmissions (TH400, then a built TH350). The original 7.5" diff wasn't up to the task of runs at the track, so swapped in a Ford 8.8" from an Explorer, which had 31-spline shafts and a much stronger axle and tubes, as well as disc brakes. Was a fun project, ran a few different nitrous kits on it. AFAIK, his dad still has the truck, no idea what was changed on it after we stopped working on it.

I have a Vortec head 350 in my El Camino in my signature. The lunati 60100 idles fairly smooth, perfect for the 2.73 rear end gears and TH350. I know, not a lot of lope, but it pulls hard from idle up to about 4k. Cam is 207/213 at .050". For comparison sake, if you look at the 425HP 427CID cam from the late 1960's Chevrolets, that cam is 210/213 at .050 on a 113 LSA, just for comparison sake in a big block which is very tame.

I had cars with the rata tat tat big cam and the smaller more tame cams are easier to drive on the street. Big cams sound cool though!

I ordered a radiator for the Dodge, it will be here shortly.
