Report was completed at WearCheck, you can buy oil sample kits from @High Performance Lubricants which is a MOB2 kit for 35 dollars plus shipping.

This is just a base sample of how the oil held up at 5,000+ miles to monitor current engine wear and oil conditions undergoing extended drain trials. Car is driven 90% Highway / 10% City for the most part, 100+ miles round trip throughout the week. Only additive used was 2 cans of BG 44K in the fuel tank in 2 full fills. Oil filter used was FRAM FS3600 as an oversize so the total oil capacity was increased from 3.9 to 4.5 quarts. Air Filter currently has about 10,000 miles on it currently and was not changed.

Surprisingly enough the Base number is high or hardly taken a dent, even though 2 strong fuel additives was used during this oil service duration.
The Aluminum could be from the oil additives or pistons as it reads 7 PPM, the oil product data sheet says it has some aluminum as part of the additive package per HPL. Also surprised not to see any chromium (piston ring wear) despite very hard spirited driving behavior.

It's a Toyota fuel mizer. It'll run on any oil that meets spec and last a long time at this ODI. Thanks for adding the other information. Did you not need to add any oil during the run?

We bought one of the first Yaris' to hit the north east. 5 speed manual. Great mileage and super cheap to maintain. Don't see many around anymore.
thats part due to rust, and part due to people feel they need to commute in things that get 12mpg lol

The 1NZFE-an engine that seems almost impossible to kill! We had PM guys flogging xAs in excess of 200K on bulk blend, never lost one.
I'm sticking with HPL oils on the car from here on out unless I get money tight, hoping the car makes it over to 500,000 miles in my lifetime.

Ones with manual trans are very rare to find in my region unfortunately they cost a premium in the used market if found. Been thinking of getting a second yaris vitz hatchback as a fun car while keeping parts commonality.
Thanks for the information / contribution. Incredible numbers, being this is HPL PCEO oil in 5w30.

Subie is certainly right.
Nothing at Walmart brick & mortars can beat even the lowest denominator offered by HPL.
Given how the oil held up aside from contamination, looks like the oil can have an extremely long life in normal driving conditions. The oil didn't sheared at all even after all that hard driving.

I did the initial fill of 4 quarts, after realizing the dipstick level wasn't at the top I realized the oil filter added more capacity than I expected.
Currently with the Donaldson P551132, there hasn't been any significant sign of oil consumption. Only makeup oil added was during the filter change prefill & top off when sampling this oil.

I’ve never seen mechanical shearing of the VM in my old 1NZ-FE. That engine is extremely easy on oil compared to other engines.

Your UOA doesn’t really show how the oil did. It shows that you have a well constructed engine that is operating properly, same as mine.

Silicon is high for the miles, and Al is as well. Some abrasive bearing wear possibly happening.
But, as other said, it’s a Toyota 1.5…you can’t kill it, you just can’t!

Its something im keeping an eye on. It does get fairly dusty in the highway due to ongoing custruction in the route i nornally commute to work and back. I check my air filter box every 5k and usually collects some sand at the bottom that I clean with a garage vaccum.
