I replaced a leaky valve cover on a 2012 Nissan Juke yesturday. After completing the job, the car had the service engine soon light pop on.
P1550- Bat Current sensor
P0045- TC Boost Sol/V
B263- Sunload Sensor (Google adds a 1 to the code, but my Nissan scanner does not)
These codes seem odd from a valve cover gasket replacement. What are some thoughts on fixing these? I did check connections of all the electrical items I had to remove and they were good. I will clean the battery posts later today to see if that helps. The HVAC one (sunload sensor) is the one that drives me nuts, as that has nothing to do with the work I did.
I did find oil in the inter cooler pipes which has me concerned about the health of the turbo.
I fix cars for people who don’t have the money to do so and am very worried that the codes would cause the owner to not be able to get to work if they lead to a problem I may have caused. We (the ministry that does this work) don’t charge anything for the work and are all shade tree mechanics doing our best. The owner is being very patient, and when I told her there is not charge for any of the repairs I did (Ball joint, gasket, oil change) she was thrilled, which is helping with her patience.
