I've got a 2012 Toyota Camry LE with 140k. Regular oil changes and service. Recently I have noticed using about a quart of oil about every 800 to 1000 miles. I have no smoke or oil dripping and no oil leaks that anyone can find. I did recently replace my valve cover gasket and tube seals because I had one tube seals gasket leak a bit of oil in plug 3. That however was fixed and no oil leaks. Any ideas and can anything be used to help

I have the same issue with my 09. A piston soak might be the most logical fix. I've heard many people having good luck with Berryman B-12 but I haven't gotten around to trying it.

ETA; You certainly should try replacing the PCV valve but it didn't help me much.

Odd, the 2.5's of that vintage are not known as oil burners. No help to you, I know--but not sure if advice for the prior 2.4's applies. It may well, if it's stuck rings from long OCI's. But just want to point out, this isn't the same 2.4 that was known to have issues as the prior generation.

Is this a new to you car, or something you've had for a while?

I'd suspect something is leaking or malfunctioning since it's a sudden and substantial oil consumption. Check the drain plug, oil filter, oil pan gasket, oil cap, and as mentioned, the PCV valve.
