This is a friends Traverse and factory fill transmission fluid. It was pretty dark, not black and didn't smell burnt but dark. Considering the miles I thought it would be in worse shape. They do a ton of back country road driving and live 15 miles out of town. I was able to change out 5qts by pulling the drain plug and refilling it back up with AMSOIL ATL.

For a factory fill, this sample isn't too bad. Sure, aluminum and copper are high next to our universal

averages which show typical wear after ~25,600 miles, but they're mostly from the wear-in of new parts.

Some of it is from normal accumulation over the course of the run as well. Now that the oil has been changed,

we should see these metals and other wear in material start to wash out and read closer to universal averages.

We didn't find any contamination or insolubles. The TAN was fine at 1.5, low acidity. Check back without draining

after 30,000 miles. Not bad!
