Here is the Cat Lab UOA for GX460 transfer case factory fill - Toyota/Lexus 75w LF tc oil with 55k on oil and odometer. I thought I would change at 30k, but waited to 55,000 miles after reading other owners that said fluid didn’t look bad at 60k miles etc.

Replaced with Redline MT-LV 70/75w 1.5 to 2 qts iirc.

Cat flagged for high wear metals. Not sure if there are comparable UOAs on the factory fill in the GX460. But, I will look.

Feel free to comment!

Break-in too but that is a chunk of metals in there.
Yeah. Probably should have done it at 30k or when I received the Redline MT-LV VOA results in 1/2023.

My bad. But, was dealing with some very difficult issues during that time frame. Father with severe Alzheimer’s, cancer and other stressful life events. Both parents passed away in 2023.

Did do some projects, but not all I wanted to in hindsight. The Lexus t-case factory fill did look really good when I drained it at 55k compared to the differential oils. And Toyota/Lexus 75w VOA indicated strong ad pack. The manual calls for 60k drain on t-case. I don’t tow, or even use 4 low. So, I was still early at 55k. Goes to show why UOA is necessary.
