2011 Avalon First Oil Change

I bought PP (5w30) for my upcoming first oil change and saw that on Pennzoil's website that's what was their recommended synthetic for my application. I was planning on PU but that wasn't one of their choices. Anybody know why not? I've used PU (5W-20) in my wife's 2007 Jeep Liberty with great results. Did a really nice job cleaning. I've used GC in other cars in the past but thought it might be overkill for this engine. Any thoughts on my current oil choice or recommendation for others? Thanks in advance. Also just bought some Valvoline Syn (5W-20) for my 2011 Mustang GT which will also be the first change. Again, any thoughts on oil choice?

I am thinking because PU has been hard to find depending on your location. Or possibly because Platinum has more certs?

5w30 in a Toyota.? Is that their recommendation? I thought it would be 5W-20 or 0W-20.

Yea, I was suprised at that too. It's a 3.5 liter.
