Honda calls for new bolts. They also call for new bolt on the TB tensioner pulley. I installed new OEM bolts when I did TB almost 7 years ago. Getting ready to replace again even though only 40k mikes. Do not think these are TTY but not sure. watched many videos including competent techs like South Main. They reuse bolts. What do you guys think? Thanks.

How is the bolt tightened? If it is a torque value then angle value replace the bolts. If it is a torque value only then you can reuse but be aware you may need to reapply thread lock if the bolts have it pre applied from factory.

If it is a stud with a nut and the nut has a torque then angle value replace both stud and nut. If the nut has a torque value only then consider what locking mechanism is used by the nut and if it requires replacing, generally I replace nuts as they are single use due to being either nylock or crimped end.

All just my opinion

My front mount do you mean the mount at the radiator or the mount by the accessory drive? I usually replace the bolts on the mount at the accessory drive because the ones into the frame rail like to corrode. Otherwise I dont see a reason to replace them other than the service manual calling for it. The bolts arent torque plus yield and there is no encapsulated threadlocker on them. The bolts for the front mount at the radiator I usually reuse unless they are corroded badly. Same thing, not torque to yield and no encapsulated threadlocker

It is torque only. Some have threadlocker, some do not. Not sure angle spec necessarily means TTY. Eg, the crank bolt spec is 47 ft-lbs plus 60°. But, it s not TTY, at least FSM does not call for new bolt. In fact, it gives details on how to clean old bolt up for reuse.

My X does not have VCM. It is running great. Just doing some early planning.

This is mount by accessory drive. FSM does not call for new bolts that go into frame but they do rust as stated. When I removed those bolts in 2017 I cleaned them up and coated with AS. They should be in good shape. Only one of the 3 bolts connecting mount to block has threadlocker. These are the 3 bolts FSM wants replaced.

Been doing more research. It appears the 3 motor mount bolts may be TTY. One person reused and could not torque it to spec at 33 ft-lbs. It stopped at 20 and started to neck down. The bolt that calls for thread locker goes thorough WP which may explain thread locker, not sure.
