My Cobalt had a drivers wheel bearing replaced, boom out in 1500 miles

Then both front wheel bearings, another 1500 miles and the steering is getting notchy and sometimes is hard to steer from neutral especially at low speed

Pressing on the top of the passenger tire gets a click like something is loose take the wheels off can’t find play.

Is this a torque rod or a rack? Its like my power steering turns on and off randomly as I steer but the steering pump seems fine.

how does it steer if you raise the front end?

Wore out the joint between the steering wheel and rack on mine, but it was fairly high mileage. Also found the aftermarket lower control arms & ball joints were garbage compared to the Genuine GM. Just something to keep in mind.

Yeah besides the bearings the rest of the front end is original at 135,000 miles
