My favorite line of the story:

"The employees identified Thomas as a suspect, WLTX reported."

So not only did his bright idea kill him, it didn't work as a disguise either.

Police say that, had the man lived, he would have been charged with armed robbery, hostage taking, and criminal stupidity.
